The Edgar Allan Poe House and Museum (pictured above), 203 N. Amity St., is open this weekend for Poe’s 205th birthday (Jan. 19). The museum is open 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Jan. 18-19; admission is free, but donations are encouraged. For more information about the event, go to

Westminster Hall and Burial Ground, 519 W. Fayette St., is also hosting a birthday event, starting at 5 p.m. Jan. 19. There will be readings, period costumes and more at Poe’s gravesite.
